We’re only a few weeks into 2014 but already there are members of Fathers House who have gone overseas, or are preparing to go overseas, to be involved in a variety of different conferences and missions, overseeing, teaching, preaching and encouraging in churches that we have links with around the world.
Clive and Sue Jackson flew out to Toronto on Sunday 19th January to be part of the ‘Catch The Fire Toronto’ (formerly Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship) 20th Anniversary celebration this week. They will then be travelling to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit Beth and Louis for the 2nd week of their trip.
Janice Smith and her friend Pat Monks are travelling to Uganda on Tuesday 21st January. Janice and Pat have visited Uganda many times and have build strong relationships with several churches there. They will initially be in Mbale for about a week then moving on to Kumi and finally they will drive over the border into Kenya to minister in Malaba.
Andrew & Linda East and Andrew & Helen Baddeley will be travelling to Kenai in Alaska on Wednesday 22nd of January to be part of an annual conference at Steve Toliver’s church. Many will know Steve Toliver from his visits here at Fathers House. Whilst there they will also be doing an ‘Encounter’. Andrew & Helen will be coming back on the 2nd February while Andy & Linda stay on for an extra week.
Irvine Carcary will be returning to Uganda on the 5th February and will be there until 3rd March. Irvine also has very strong links in Uganda and has been involved in setting up several ‘G12’ cell churches on his previous visits. Irvine will be overseeing the progress of these cell churches as well as teaching, discipling and ministering.
I know that they would all appreciate our prayers whilst they are away.
And some who are returning after a long trip!……..
Matt & Annie Powell and their family will be returning to us on 2nd February after 4 months in Toronto.
