Back last summer we had a service where God was asking those who felt they were in their comfort zone, to be willing to take a step of faith and move forward with him.
I was feeling very comfortable, so went forward to receive prayer and said to God “I will go where you send me”. Since then my daughter, who had been living with me, said that she now wanted to live on her own, so I decided to go back on the housing register and put in for a one bedroom property.
I have been bidding on flats, in and around Shaftesbury, and surrounding villages, and finally two weeks ago I received an email offering me a place – I was the only person to bid on the property! I believe that God has opened a door for me in a new area, and I need to walk through it. My heart is for the people, that they come to faith and love, to follow in God’s ways. I have had good tears and sad tears about this but on 18th April I was at a refreshing day at lox Lane, where everything came together – a picture of a field being planted and reaping was going on at the same time, some of us are going to be planting seeds and others will reap the harvest. We just need to get among the people.
So I know that I’m going to be taking the place that I have been offered, in the little village of Winterbourne Whitechurch. There is a little church there, where there are only 12 people who attend regularly, once a month. In the place where I’m going is a community hall where I want to hold prayer meetings, bible study, and coffee mornings. God has opened this door and I will be walking through it.
I have spent my last 4 years with you all, I feel that I have become a stronger woman to the one that fell through the door 4 years ago. God has allowed me time to find him with rest, and plenty of prayer. I will not be totally leaving you as I will be visiting once a month for Daytimers, Refresher days and even the odd Sunday. I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with this journey. Be blessed and carry on doing what God wants of you, and you will be blessed in return.
